attac.org.uk domain, web page etc

folks,

I have managed to secure the attac.org.uk domain (which was surprisingly difficult), and dropped an empty wiki there. I was hoping to develop this into a simple front page that explains what attac is and what we do in a uk-centric context.

this would hopefully also help getting more people interested and eventually engaged.

anyone wants to help, there is plenty to do...

Attac UK created

Hello,

Attac UK as a facebook page (look for attac UK) and an email address AttacUK@gmail.com . The plan is to meet on the eve of the london conference against austerity which is on Saturday the 1st of October. More details will come.

If you are interested contact us through this group on the attac social network (a new version will come shortly) or on Facebook via Attac UK.

Cheers

Where are we at in setting up a London group?

Hi all,

I have just joined this and am quite pleased to see that there is a strong interest in setting up something in London. It would be good to benefit from the movement created by the Uncut campaign as well as the March for Alternative (today!) and set up something. How about all meeting and discussing it?

Best regards and looking forward to meeting you all,

A

Hello ATTAC UK members !

Hi everyone !

I was delighted to discover this morning that some people were willing to expand the ATTAC presence in London and the UK.

I went on this same website a while ago and was quit disappointed to see on the international ATTAC presence map dots on nearly all European nations but...the UK !

I would love to think we can do something about it, although I'm not sure exactly how to get started...well, presumably by meeting each others, at least for the ones leaving near London (maybe we could use Skype for the others ?)

That may sound stupid but the website always sends me to an "error" page when I try and see the comments added to the introduction message of the Attac London / UK group, so I know obvisouly very little about the status of the discussions...would anyone be able to help me ?

On my side, I'm a 31 years old chap with very little activism experience but with a life-long interest in all things political and a great desire to help promoting alternative analysis and ideas.

attac/uk status

hi folks,

I have looked around on the web and found traces of some attempt to create an attac group in the UK a while ago, apparently without much effect. I am wondering what the status on this is and why there is no such group? Does noone care? are there other groups which fulfill the same role in the UK? Are people still working on this? If any country needs attac it is the UK...

thanks  robert
