Who are we?
LEE means “Labour and Employment in Europe”. The LEE network has been set in 2008 at the first European Attac academy in Saarbrucken. It is open to all, and allows us to share and coordinate on social issues in Europe, in order to contribute to the implementation of a social Europe.
In the LEE network, we want:
- Deepen the links between Attac activists at the European level
- Follow the social trends, share information and analyses, and forward them to the Attac network
- Deepen our analysis on some topics, produce useful analysis for the Attac activists, contribute to the Attac campaigns on European issues related…
In 2010-2011, we worked on the working time directive, the European demonstrations on September 29th, austerity plans, Europe strategy 2020, the position of the European Parliament on reforms of the pension system, the European Network Academy of Attac… We also participated to the organisation of a social forum in Toulon (France) on topic « Working in Europe with 27 countries: present and future » in May 2010.
We organize on a regular basis conference calls and we have pt in place a wiki tool (where you will find analysis, minutes of meetings, etc.)
